Guild wars bug
hi, I'm new to this forum but I need some help. Whenever I open guild wars or close guild wars, hp quickplay turns on. Anyone have similar problems or know how to fix it? thanks

Yes, I have this same problem with every new install.
Right click on the shortcut on your desktop and select properties. You should get a window that'll have a section that says Target: and has "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -XXX in a text bar. I forget what exactly will be written in XXX, but it'll be after the dash. Just delete that. |

I'm intrigued to know why the -mce switch (which is supposed to launch GW with Windows Media Center compatibility) would launch GW with this HP Quickplay thingy.
HP-Q seems to be a way of playing DVDs without booting the OS (am I right?) so maybe HP are using similar hooks to those that MC uses? Don't mind me - just waffling.
